It was honestly a great read. I love the depth and the real life circumstances Alex brought to life. Never swaying from people’s real emotions.
Ophelia just wanted to love and be loved in return. Her selfless acts always prevented her from finding true happiness… until The Cat walked in.
A hunger so wild and finally, free. Ophelia and Felicity fall into a perfect harmony. Finally getting to experience love and desire for the first time. In turn making the spice that much more enjoyable.
10/10 would recommend!
I really liked the level of freakiness The Cat presents to us. Maybe I’m the problem, but I actually wish it were freakier? There was just so much potential that I feel this story did not reach when it comes to nasty freaky smut and also the character development. The characters’ chemistry was just OK. This books strengths lie in the interesting premise and plot. Regardless of my middling review, I look forward to more from this author.

I absolutely love a monster romance, but I never thought I’d be sitting reading a monster romance about the retelling of The Cat in the Hat falling in love with a MILF and honestly I’m 110% here for it!
Mourning Star is on of those authors that could write a book about a man eating bunny rabbit and you can bet your ass I’ll be sat and devouring it.
Each and every one of their books that I have had the privilege of reading has been filled with so much heart, compassion, rawness and so many badass women you can’t not love them. And this delightful furry little nugget was no different.
The Cat will make you feel the warm and fuzzies, while promoting the tear ducts to sting and having you asking “shit, am I into this” all in the span of 133 pages. The relationship between the two FMCs is a fast paced, insta love type deal, but my god does it work so well and it pulled on my heart strings on numerous occasions.
So what are you waiting for, go read it and unlock a new kink 😏
