A fresh, lighthearted, and warm take on the classic tale of forbidden love — romance, humor, and plenty of banter.
In my opinion, this is a pretty additive, slow burn novel, a page turner. Strangely, although the storyline doesn't consist of big plots, or full on emotional rides but it somehow manages to draw me in, keep going for the next page.
Beautiful story, and I hope that the sequel will come with a satisfying closure.
I hadn't realised how much I had missed this book before reading it again this weekend. The characters are endearing, the author is pretty funny, I'd say, and the story itself is overall really good... It was kind of annoying, though. I couldn't put it down even when I had other things to do because I only needed the first few words of a paragraph to be hooked for another chapter or two, which made my non-existent sleep schedule even worse. Yet all I can do is ask for more; I really can't wait to once again discover the sequel!
A really good, different take on this trope. Very much enjoyed that Anna spoke up for herself, even as Daniella played with her heart like a fiddle at times.
