The job is easy. Eretz Hayim, a professional spy and assassin with the code name Yael Hanani, has to infiltrate the life of Eve Blau, a successful businesswoman with a company holding so much power that it's hard for the common human mind to grasp fully. The mission: seduce Eve, extract confidential information, and then eliminate her to pave the way for her brother to take control. As the line between duty and desire becomes blurred, Eretz grapples with conflicting loyalties. The mission unfolds in a dangerous dance of romance and betrayal, leaving both women entangled in a web where love and espionage collide. Will the heart survive the shadows of deceit, or will duty extinguish the flame they dared to ignite?
I thought I'd keep the reading of this book for an upcoming car trip, but one look at the first words and I decided against it; from the first few sentences, I was hooked. The only things that stopped me from devouring it were my phone running out of battery and the fact that it was already late in the night.
I really liked it. It doesn't go too fast or too slow, it's funny and sweet, and so easy to read without stopping. The characters are unique and endearing, the plot, original, and the whole story is very good, thanks to the author's amazing writing skills and imagination.
I'm kinda mad I ended up going to sleep at 6 am when I couldn't fall asleep and decided to finish the book instead, but it was definitely worth it. I'm looking forward to the next ones.
